The Brownwood Independent School District, in partnership with the Brownwood Police Department, was one of only ten school districts in the state selected to take part in a research project to better understand the daily encounters of school-based law enforcement.
The National Weather Service office in San Angelo invited school districts in the area to conduct the drills as Severe Weather Awareness Season begins this week (March 6-11). Brownwood campuses participated in a tornado drill at 2:00pm on March 8, 2017. As alarms sounded, students and teachers made there way to safe places on their campus.
