Woo hoo! All about me! I love it! I was born here in Texas and had a wonderful upbringing of being able to live all over the world and the U. S. as I was growing up. My daddy's career in construction, working for Fluor Corporation, took us to live in Venezuela, South Korea, Iran, South Africa, and Indonesia. My heroes outside of my family were my teachers always! I thought I would be a cost and scheduling engineer...at least that was the plan. God thought different. I graduated high school from my hometown and headed for college. I graduated in 1985 from Southwest Texas State in San Marcos with my B.S. in Education. I had my first teaching assignment in Brownwood teaching 4th grade at South Elementary. I LOVED TEACHING! I obtained my M.S. in Ed., in Administration in 1989, from Tarleton State University, married my incredible husband, Jay, in June 1990, moved to Waco, and went to work as a co-op counselor for Region 12. I obtained my M.S. in Ed. in Counseling in 1992 from Tarleton State University. After working for three years as a co-op counselor, I was able to work for Waco ISD as an elementary counselor for Mountainview, a K - 5 campus. Jay and I decided to move back to our hometowns and I was fortunate enough to join BISD again. I was the counselor at South and East for eight years (split time) until South was closed down. I have been at Woodland for eight years now and feel very fortunate to be associated with a fantastic district!
I am married to a wonderful guy, have two fabulous kids, two dogs, and a hedgehog!
My time is spent with faith, family, and work. I try to enjoy every minute.
I love teaching and I thoroughly enjoy the kids! Kids these days....they are pretty incredible!
