Detailed Attendance Policy Is Outlined In The Student Handbook Which Is Available Online –Hardcopy Is Available In The School Office

Regular school attendance is essential for a student to make the most of his/her education. Absences from class may result in serious disruption of a student’s mastery of instructional materials; therefore, the student and parent should make every effort to avoid unnecessary absences.

To receive credit, a student in K-12 must attend at least 90 percent of the days the class is offered.  When a student is absent, the student-upon arrival or return to school – must bring a note signed by the parent that describes the reason for the absence. A statement from a doctor or health clinic verifying an appointment or illness may be submitted.

Students can have no more than five (5) excused absences in a class during a semester. Once the student has exceeded five absences in a semester, a physician’s note must be presented each absence thereafter. A note must be presented within two days of the student’s return to school for the absence to be excused. All notes will be accepted at the discretion of the principle.
