As the Brownwood High School nurse, my goal is to provide quality healthcare in a safe learning environment for your child. I strive to assist the teachers and other staff in preparing students for college or the workforce once they graduate high school. To do this it is important that I am aware of any health issues your child may have. Please feel free to contact me with and questions or concerns.
I was first employed by Brownwood ISD in 1979-80 but left to be a stay at home mom. During this time I worked as a relief nurse in local physician’s offices and at the local Girl Scout camp. In 1998 I returned to the district. I feel that Brownwood High School is where I belong and I enjoy interacting with the students. I hope all students feel free to come to me at any time about anything. I am a Basic Life Support and First Aid Instructor.
I spend part of each summer in the rural mountains of Haiti with a mission organization called SMORE’S International. We assist a Haitian pastor with a school and church. We also help support several children he cares for who were living on the city streets but now have a safe place to live and food to eat.
