MathCounts is a program that encourages students to pursue careers in Engineering and Mathematics Fields.  3M engineers and HPU Mathematics professors have teamed with Mrs. Vera Longoria, BMS math teacher, to bring MathCounts to Brownwood Middle School.
On February 4, nine BMS students competed in the Regional MathCounts competition at Abilene Christian University.  Three BMS students' had their hard work pay off and will advance to the state MathCounts competition in Austin.  The state competition will take place the latter part of March.
